Usability issue in "hard disk failing" dialog

Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility

On starting my desktop, I receive a "Hard disk may be failing. One of more hard disks report health problems. Click the icon to get more information" dialog. I'm then presented with "Cancel" and "Ok".

What is the difference between "Cancel" and "Ok"?

I reported this in the GNOME bug tracker and they bounced it back saying that it's Ubuntu-specific:

The Cancel and OK buttons appear to have the same effect -- that is, dismissing the dialog. If they have other effects, the buttons should be relabeled. Otherwise the Cancel button should be removed.

Low priority? Really? This is not some compiler bug that only devs will see. This is a false message to the user that he is about to loose all his data! I replaced my SSD due to this false message. Giving false error messages that makes users freak out should never be low priority.
