vfat mounts as showexec

Bug Description

Kinda surprised to see *.py/*.sh not executable on pen drives...

       showexec
              If set, the execute permission bits of the file will be allowed only if the extension part of the name is .EXE, .COM, or
              .BAT. Not set by default.

The good news is that i learned a new (useless) mount option, so today.. I am a better person for that knowledge.

Yes, "showexec" can not allows change attributes of files and make them executable.
I find no sense in Linux that device is mounted with "showexec"
