cannot open properties

System -> system administration -> printer, and when I'm trying to open the properties of any printer, cpu utilization raises to 100% and does not stop until I invoke:

sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart

No error messages are visible at all, even in /var/log/cups. Interesting part is that setting printer properties by other programs (gtklp, kdeprint, gimp, gedit, ... DOES work.
Version of gnome-cups-manager is 0.31-1.1ubuntu4, Dapper. I'm using the german version of ubuntu.

gnome-cups-manager: 0.31-1.1ubuntu6 (updated recently)

I'm using 0.31-1.1ubuntu13 and experience the same problem.

I'm experiencing the same bug. German Ubuntu dapper (no updates), same version as Danno, upgraded from breezy.

Choosing "properties" from a printer's context menu makes gnome-cups-manager unresponsive. Restarting cupsys, as reported above, seems to help.

Do you still have this problem with edgy? If so, can you please attach your /var/log/cups/error_log after the hang happens?
