Bug Description
May be related to (eg) bug #938038.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Disable wireless by hardware switch.
2. If not open already, open the networking control centre capplet and click "Wireless".
3. Re-enable wireless by hardware switch, and wait for the panel to change from displaying a status of "Unavailable", to a status of "Disconnected".
4. Click "Wired".
5. Click "Wireless" again. At this point, gnome-control-
Some of these steps may be redundant. I have been more concerned to produce reliably reproducible steps than a minimal set.
I am running precise with b43 (bcm4312 hardware, as the attached data will show).
