Bug Description
Changing the default video player in system settings seems to have absolutely no effect. I observed this behaviour on a clean install of precise beta 1, and precise beta 1 with all updates.
For example if I change the default player from totem to gnome-mplayer, or vlc player all of my videos still open in totem (.avi, .mkv).
Changing the default video player should associate the chosen player with all known video filetypes. The current behaviour makes the option useless/broken, since I have to manually right click > properties > open with > set as default to get it to work.
