"Appearance" panel says "Current background ((null))"

Below the picture of the display in the "Appearance" panel is the text "Current background ((null))".

I don't know how this happens, but it shouldn't.

Thanks, confirming from the screenshot but I never saw that before so setting to low for now, it would be good to figure what steps did lead to that situation ... did you set a background that you uninstalled or something?

I don't think I uninstalled anything. But it's still saying "((null))", so I can do any gconf/dconf key-twiddling or other commands that you need to figure out the problem.

hum, do you use a colored background (i.e not an image)?

Ok, it seems to happen when using a color (solid or gradient) instead of an image for the background, that's your case right?
