Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 11.10
Release: 11.10
  Installed: 1:3.2.1-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 1:3.2.1-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 1:3.2.1-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric-updates/main i386 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     1:3.2.0-0ubuntu6 0

What you expected to happen:
The control-center panel "sound" has a tab named "Applications". When audio is played in vlc I expect vlc to be listed in that tab.

What happened instead:
The control-center panel "sound" has a tab named "Applications". When audio is played in vlc the "Applications" tab is empty.

Additional info:
When audio is played in for example a browser (chromium), then chromium is listed in the "Applications" tab.
