The new GUI doesn't correctly toggle gconf/system/
Reproduce by setting up a socks server using the standard ssh -D <port> <user>@
Somewhat related: the ignored hosts list is very useful for users on corporate networks where they do need some internal resources. It should be included.

Thank you for your bug report but gconf is deprecated and the control center writtes to gsettings in Oneiric, the gconf key update is done by some transitional glue which might be buggy...
