Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-control-
I could not save default display settings using gnome-display-
Clicking the "make default" button asks for authorization and fails to complete successfully. A popup dialog is displayed with the following message "Could not set the default configuration for monitors"
Looking at the console output I can see this messages being logged:

I confirm this malfunction.
A workaround is to manually add the two missing directories. settings- daemon settings- daemon/ xrandr
