Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Problem:
After updating the below package on 5th May 2010, compiz performance dropped significantly (often going up to 70-80% of CPU while moving a window).

Downgrading to the previous version fixed the problem

package: libgnome-window-settings1 version "1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1"
System:
Description: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Release: 10.04

apt-cache policy libgnome-window-settings1
libgnome-window-settings1:

Hi Sebastien,

I've unlocked my version and updated to the latest available (1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1). It seems to be working fine now. The packages that are tied to "libgnome-window-settings1" are:

capplets-data
gnome-control-center

Perhaps there was something wrong with them. Anyway, it appears to be fixed.

Thanks
Juraj
