Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

I can disable and enable visual effects in my laptop. However, whenever I change
from no-effects to some "with effects" option, the appearance window halts (the
effects get started and the system continues to be functional). Here I provide
a video showing what happens. I cannot close the appearance windows nor
kill them with xkill.
