Bug Description

In Ubuntu release 9.04 there is no way to change the sensitivity of the scroll wheel or really modify the mouse settings in any way (except for left-right orientation and pointer sensitivity) through the default mouse preferences screen. This should be a fairly basic feature.

I am not talking about the cursor speed and acceleration. The problem is that the sensitivity of the scrolling of a mouse wheel cannot be easily configured.

I can confirm that his wishlist bug is accurate. This is indeed something that needs to be sent upstream.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of this project.

 - This is a feature request and not a papercut.
For further information about papercuts criteria, please read https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut.
Don't worry though, this bug has been marked as "Invalid" only in the papercuts project.

Vish: How does this not qualify as a papercut?

@Darxus : As mentioned earlier, this bug requests a new option / feature which does not exist yet. [to add scrolling speed.]
New feature requests are not papercuts.
