Bug Description

Ok, so i just upgraded to 9.04. while upgrading i lost power (to my entire house). When i turned my computer back on, Windows was working fine (dual booting) but linux was having SERIOUS issues.

Thankfully i got ubuntu working again.. but i had to do the upgrade in "CTRL ALT F1" environment...

Everything seemed fine after i restarted my computer... i got the GUI working again, and it was all looking dandy (minus the fact the minimise, max, and close options wheren't showing up). Next i did

Sudo update
sudo upgrade

in terminal to finish anything that didn't get done when the GUI wasn't working. (Something about dpkg error... in the "CTRL ALT F1" environment )

Got everything up to date and restarted my computer.

Still no "minimise, maximise, close"

so i did Sudo update, sudo upgrade again, and it came back with no results...

Now im stuck

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at if you are uncertain if they are bugs.
