Saving a wireguard VPN connection fails

Bug Description

Adding a new Wireguard VPN connection fails as it isn't shown on the GUI under "VPN" (like openvpn connection is).

this is on 23.10.

oh indeed:

loka 30 15:23:48 leon gnome-control-c[12423]: Failed to add connection: ipv4.method: method "auto" is not supported for WireGuard

if it's not supported, then the option shouldn't be available

if I use manual and add the IP/mask/gateway and DNS server, it still doesn't let me save it. Should be able to leave routes as-is at least according to

The description is a bit confusing. So wireguard is listed in the vpn dialog but you fail to import an existing config? Could you provide details on the steps you are following exactly and the configuration details?

I'm adding a wireguard config by hand..

- add the private key as generated by 'wg genkey'
- add the peer (endpoint, public key, allowed ip's)
- set up ipv4 (manual; address/mask, dns)

if at this point (before saving) you select "automatic", it allows you to save but it isn't actually saved as mentioned originally. But if, instead of saving, you select "manual" again, it *doesn't* let you save unless you change some of the previously entered values.
