See attached screenshot.

Actually, Nautilus has started doing it now as well. gedit still uses yaru. calculator uses yaru. calendar uses adwaita. Maybe my system is cursed.

Thank you for the bug report. Is that specific to using the dark mode? Which version of libhandy-1 do you have installed? There are changes in https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libhandy-1/1.5.91-2 that could create issue, setting the theme to light and back to dark might help fixing the configuration if that's the issue

Also please tag bugs rls-jj-incoming instead of nominating them for the serie directly so they are reviewed by the team and can get properly assigned as part of the process

Hi Sebastien,

Thankyou for your suggestion about libhandy-1. I had 1.5.91-2 installed. I downgraded to 1.5.91-1 and my issue vanished, nautilus, gnome-disks and calendar are back to dark theme now.

On 1.5.91-2, toggling back and forth between light and dark did not do anything.

Tagging regression-proposed.

This is a duplicate of LP: #1965067 but this bug is worded differently.

libhandy-1's behavior is working as intended by GNOME. Let's reassign to gnome-control-center.

The upgrade scenario is being handled by LP: #1965189
and the new libhandy-1 is being held in jammy-proposed by LP: #1964841

affects: libhandy-1 (Ubuntu Jammy) → gnome-control-center (Ubuntu Jammy)

I have installed gsettings-desktop-schemas 42~rc-1ubuntu3 from the release pocket, and the dark theme migration took place. All of my applications are now consistently dark themed again, including gnome-disks, nautilus, calculator and calendar. When swapping from light to dark, the change is always applied, and is consistent everywhere.

This issue is resolved, happy to say verified.
