Settings butten in upper right hand corner missing

Bug Description

After removing one of mine printers the setting butten with all the options went missing. Only the lock and on / off /restart butten is in place.

Thanks for your report.

You filed it against "ubuntu-docs", which is a documentation package and probably unrelated to your problem. Changing the affected package.

Also, we need more info to be able to evaluate your report, such as which Ubuntu version and desktop environment are you using. An easy way to add that kind of info is by running this terminal command:

apport-collect 1866630

Indicates that you somehow uninstalled the package for "Settings". Can you please run:

sudo apt install gnome-control-center

sudo apt install ubuntu-desktop

Running the commands, and rebooting brought the settings butten up .

Good. Then you did not just remove a printer, but you unintentionally uninstalled the gnome-control-center package somehow.
