Sounds labelled NAMEME difficult to translate

Bug #144055 reported by Claude Paroz on 2007-09-22

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Ubuntu seems to have patched libsounds and add four new sounds/strings to translate: Bip 2 (NAMEME), Bip 3 (NAMEME), Warning beep (NAMEME), Ping (NAMEME)
What's the NAMEME stuff? Are these temporary names?
A translator comment would be very appreciated to know how to handle them.

That's a GNOME bug, those strings are in the upstream tarball

Claude Paroz (paroz) wrote :

Sorry, but I cannot find them. Is this the right file to look at ?

And I'm absolutely sure there aren't in the upstream POT file:
