Black screen when running System Parameters

Step to reproduce:
start gnome-control-center (either from UI or command line)

Expected result:
System Settings screen will open

Actual result:
1) Black screen
2) Had to restart (soft reboot)

Supppose that the same problem could be related to random black screen start:
computer will boot into black screen. Had to restart it once again.

My hardware is noutbook Acer 3820tg (hybrid grpahics ATI)
