Bug Description

After saving the monitor settings and logging out and in again, the settings are once again back to 640x480. I tried starting `gksudo gnome-control-center` and applying the settings there, but then I get the following message:

Failed to apply configuration: %s
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.gnome.SettingsDaemon was not provided by any .service files
