Rhythmbox won't encode to ogg vorbis. Insists it needs additional software.

Since I upgraded to 14.04, I cannot export CD tracks in Rhythmbox. It told me "Unabel to transfer tracks. Additional software is required to encode media in your preferred format: Vorbis encoder" My options are "Cancel the transfer" or "Install" I click install, and get the following error.

The parameters passed to the application had an invalid format. Please file a bug!

The parameters were:
--transient-for=56623111
gstreamer|1.0|rhythmbox|Vorbis encoder|encoder-audio/x-vorbis

I click OK on the error and it loops back to "Unabel to transfer tracks".

  Hi,

 The bug is still present with 14.10 and it seems not to be related to gnome-codec-install package.
I can reproduce the bug with or without gnome-codec-install.
 And no workaround is possible.

  Any update ?

The 14.04 and 14.10 releases of Ubuntu are no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue using a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know otherwise this report can be left to expire in approximately 60 days time.

Thanks for your reply.

As the affected Ubuntu releases are now "End of Life" and in the absence of comments from anyone else I'll close this now as the bug report is no longer valid.
