closing preferences window will close the app

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open preferences window
2. Close it

Expected behaviour:
The preferences window get close and the game continues.

Actual behaviour:
The whole app crashes with this message:

Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.

I am not able to reproduce this issue with gnome-chess 1:41.0-1 on Ubuntu Impish. Could you check again after all upgrades to see if you still get a crash?
