Looks like this crash only happens if you've got the gnome3-staging PPA enabled:

<darkxst> mgedmin, it works in clean wily install

Or, actually, only if you mix gnome-calendar 3.16 with GNOME 3.18 libraries:

<darkxst> mgedmin, crashed here on xenial

but this will be fixed on xenial Soon(TM):

<darkxst> 3.18 should sync to xenial now, e-d-s is going through
