It would be excellent if gnome-btdownload could let Gnome-Power-Manager know not to go to sleep using the InhibitInactive

You also may like to see Bug #39543, Bug #40697 and Bug #38549 which request this functionality from other applications.
Please note that the version of gnome-power-manager in dapper does not have this dbus interface. This seems to be only available in >= 2.15.x so patches adding this should probably be added after Dapper and tested against a suitable version of GPM.
