gnome-breakout crashes on startup

Bug Description

When run, gnome-breakout fails with the message:

Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  serial 550 error_code 8 request_code 2 minor_code 0

When run under gdb, no stack trace is created. Instead:

Program exited with code 01.

(Along with the Gdk-ERROR above).

Thanks for the bug report.
Gnome-breakout works fine for me (0.5.2-5 on dapper x86). Which version of ubuntu and gnome-breakout do tou use?

Version 0.5.2-5 on Dapper x86 here too. I tried building from source with the same result.

Could not reproduce on a clean Edgy installation. Did you get your dapper by upgrading from breezy? Can you please see http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and try to any information possible (try gdb again, a valgrind log would help too). Thanks in advance.

Sorry. Of course it makes no stack trace - it isn't really crashing, it's exiting with an error.

This bug is fixed by the patch to gdk-imlib in Bug #70367.

Setting the XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 environment variable should also make gnome-breakout start cleanly.

I just came over this report while i was trying to do a new one.
I'm on feisty(i386) and for me gnome-breakout still exits on startup with the same error.
