Bug Description

Terminal output below (actual ID replaced with XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX):

myusername@mymachine:~$ gnome-obex-server
conn_request: bdaddr XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
conn_complete: status 0x00

gnome-obex-send happily works from the command line sending files to my Nokia phone.

Could you try to obtain a back trace? (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash will help you there) It works nicely for me, so I'd be happy to have information, I could pass to the upstream developers.

I've got the same bug, I partially resolved it launching gnome-bluetooth-manager *before* inserting the bluetooth usb-pen

Can anyone test this problem under Edgy or Dapper 6.06.1 so we can see if anything has been resolved.

Ok, everybody please test it and add the gnome-bluetooth version number you use right now. Edgy would be particularly interesting.
