gnome-art fails on startup with authenticated proxy

Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-art
Behind a company firewall, have set up my proxy settings via System -> Preferences -> Network Proxy. It's not just a proxy it's one that needs authentication, too. This set up works well with apt-get and a simple wget from the command line works, too, but when I try to start gnome-art from the command line I get the output in [1]. During installation the packages in [2] have been installed.
