Bug Description

Got this thing both on Hardy and Intrepid testing on a 64-bit

I can't see preview at the right side of the window..
Btw the preview option instead give me no problems.
I give an attachment to be more clear.
I do not have this problem on a 32-bit.

Bye
Fabio

Yeah probably 64-bit problem cos it has never happened before with my 32bit versions. Looks like some addressing problem in URLs. I get the following error message in firefox when I click to preview:

The image “file:///home/fea/.gnome2/gnome-art/tmp/gtk_engines_icon.png” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Here's when I ls on /tmp

fea@fea-laptop:~/.gnome2/gnome-art/tmp$ ls -l
total 16
-rw-r--r-- 1 fea fea 6325 2008-06-09 15:55 gtk_engines_icon.png
-rw-r--r-- 1 fea fea 7336 2008-06-09 15:55 xml?art=32
fea@fea-laptop:~/.gnome2/gnome-art/tmp$

and png file contains HTML information, I'm not pasting here cos it's little long. It seems

things for me don't go as they should:
my 32-bit (!) hardy version is updated as well, but it shows me the same problem.

The same is happening to me on my 32-bit Hardy 8.04. gnome-arts version 0.2. The preview images in the .gnome-2/gnome-arts/tmp directory have the .png extension. They are in fact HTML pages. The HTML page in question is the Google search front page. Pressing the preview button brings up Firefox saying that the image cannot be displayed. I tested it with gimp and then used the file command in the terminal which told me it was HTML.

Following output log may be the reason for this bug. After running gnome-art from terminal and ask for example for: art > Other Themes > Spash Screen
I get this type of errors for all the downloaded files:

PixbufError with File: /home/cedric/.gnome2/gnome-art/thumbnails/Splash-Urban-Th.png - deleted
PixbufError with File: /home/cedric/.gnome2/gnome-art/thumbnails/Splash-FlyAwayGnome-Th.png - deleted

I think this behaviour may also lead to download all files again next time you request for the same category as no thumbnail is actually saved. I see these errors in every category I have selected. Then no previews are available (similar to the screenshot uploaded by Fabio).

I tested preview button works with splash screens. However this is not the case for Application Themes for example, where I get following error after trying preview button:

The image “file:///home/cedric/.gnome2/gnome-art/tmp/GTK2-SmoothGNOME-Shot.png” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

For the records I'm running ubuntu Hardy 64-bit.

Same problem here on both 32-bit and 64-bit 9.04.

It returns errors like "PixbufError with File: /home/tux/.gnome2/gnome-art/thumbnails/GNOME-AmarilloVerdoso-Th.png - deleted".

When I download wallpapers (for example), gnome-art fails midway and exits with the following output: "/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/timeout.rb:60:in `rbuf_fill': execution expired (Timeout::Error)

Then when I launch gnome-art again, I have to restart downloading from 0. But I never see any thumbnail in the main window, it remains blank.
