Bug Description

This is version 3.2.1

Invest Applet fails to open any menu options with an error like:

TypeError occurred: on_refresh() takes exactly 3 arguments (2 given)
TypeError occurred: on_about() takes exactly 3 arguments (2 given)
TypeError occurred: on_preferences() takes exactly 3 arguments (2 given)
TypeError occurred: on_help() takes exactly 3 arguments (2 given)

I have succesfully modified applet.py like this:

def on_about(self, action)

on each option and it works.
I have removed applet.pyc too.

I have had no other errors changing those functions.

(Sorry my poor English)

Dear all,
I confirm I have exactly same symptoms.
I confirm also that patch is working for me.
in addition, the file is distributed inside gnome-applet-data.
The applet.pyc is not part of the package. I am not sure, but it may be generated during package install ??
Please update repository.
Thank you.

Making djalfie's file an actual patch. The fix worked for my FC17, not sure if the path to invest/applet.py is the same, for me it is:

/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/invest/applet.py

Just be aware of that when patching.

Changed in gnome-applets (Ubuntu):
status: Confirmed → Invalid
