Bug Description

I have a system monitor applet in my upper panel, set to show network traffic. It shows constant traffic, in fact, the less traffic there is, the more it shows.

I also have Network Monitor 2.12.0 as an applet, to monitor my wireless connection. If I open it it shows a 60 to 64 % signal, and no packets being tranferred, and yet the system monitor shows at least 60 to 70% traffic.

When I open an application that accesses the internet or network, the system monitor shows a more normal amount of traffic, and when I close the app that accesses it jumps back up to the higher access level.

I have Firestarter, and it shows no attempts to access or scan or hack my computer, so I know its not some covert access.

Its not a big deal, but I thought I'd mention it.

Alsp. when I tried to submit this report, I was told System Monitor 2.16.1 does not exist in Ubuntu. I guess I got an ubuntu that has packages included with the distro that are not part of anyone elses distro, cause it was installed by default.
