Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

I've added the charpick_applet to my panel and added a new character set (öä) from the preferences menu.

After a few boots, the applet reverts to the first character set in the list (áàéíñó½©ث€) and switching to any other character set stops working. The applet is 'locked' to this character set.

The same happens to me, on lucid.

elopio@tangamandapio-laptop:~$ apt-cache show gnome-applets
Package: gnome-applets

Installed-Size: 572
Maintainer: Ubuntu Desktop Team <email address hidden>
Original-Maintainer: Guilherme de S. Pastore <email address hidden>

Version: 2.30.0-0ubuntu2

The error seems random, so I don't really know how to reproduce it.
Marking as confirmed... If I can provide more information to debug the error, just let me know.
