Bug Description

If you have your volume set at, say, 50%, then you mute it, and un-mute it, it is restored at 100% instead of 50%.

About my audio card, lspci says:

0000:00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 03)

Thanks for your bug. Do you still have that issue? What version of Ubuntu do you use? How do you mute the volume?

Closing as fixed, probably the same issue as http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331763 which has been fixed with a gst-plugins-base0.10 update
