Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor

--------
Description: Ubuntu 8.10
Release: 8.10
--------
gnome-system-monitor:
  Installed: 2.24.1-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 2.24.1-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 2.24.1-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
--------
Expect to see a steady graph when the download bandwidth is really 100%.
--------
Step to reproduce the bug:

1. Start several network download to cover 100% of your bandwidth and observe 100% in the system monitor
2. Hover the mouse in the network widget and observe sudden decrease of the measure
3. Hover out from the widget and observe another sudden decrease of the measure.

It seems those 2 events (mouse in, mouse out) in the widget affect the data in the graph.
