Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

Ubuntu 9.04

When i plug my camera, it shows two camera icons on the mount applet. The error happen when i try to unmount one of them.

In other hand, when i plug the camera, it shows a dialog (similar to windows one) which ask me what to do with. If i cancel this dialog and/or try to open with other cam programs as gtkam, it could not open the camera becouse it is mounted. I think that the correct way to work is not mount the camera until i say "view photos" or similar in that dialog.

thank you for your bug report, could you try if that's still an issue using the new gvfs version?

Well, there are some problems.

At first time, it seems to load the applet twice? or some else (see the
screenshot attached). It works fine, even you can unmount this without
problems, from the applet or from the link in the desktop. But if you try to
mount one more time, you can't unmount from the applet button, the applet
crash (the link in the desktop seems to work).

1.- duplicated camera applet icon.
2.- problems when you try to mount-unmount repeatedly.

Now i'm using...

gnome-applets:
  Instalados: 2.25.92-0ubuntu2
  Candidato: 2.25.92-0ubuntu2

 *** 2.25.92-0ubuntu2 0

        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

in the last ubuntu jaunty update.

I am also seeing this behavior under Jaunty with my Canon SD200 digital camera connected via USB. Bug #386098 was marked as invalid due to my stacktrace not being useful. Hopefully this report has better information?
