Bug Description

Binary package hint: yelp

When the trash is emptied via the Gnome Trash Applet, the icon does not change from a filled trash can to an empty one. The only way to fix it is to delete the applet and add it back onto a Gnome panel. Replication is easy: send something to the trash, then right click the trash applet to Empty Trash. The icon sometimes refreshes to an empty trash can, sometimes it does not.

What I am thinking is that there may not be a "change icon" subroutine after all of the refreshes or after all of the spots in the code where the Trash is emptied. It sounds like a quick fix.

could be bug #293294 or one of the similar issues already listed on launchpad

Hi Sebastien - I think there is a typo in your last message (or I'm slightly confused), as this is bug 293294 already
