Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Thanks in advance.

Hi Pedro. It is still an issue for me. I had removed the applet in question (because I didn't want to deal with reloading it every time) but reinstalled it after reading your comment. Occasionally I can log in without problems, but usually it crashes as reported. Thanks.
