Bug Description

I kill this process yesterday (when had above 500MiB RAM used) and clicked "load again" when ubuntu/gnome detected this. After this time memory usage grow from few MiB to 571MiB (I don't shut down laptop, only suspend [close cover] for night). I had this problem also before release upgrade from 15.04 to 15.10. I am not sure but maybe this problem on 14.04 not exists.

Apparently this problem affects me more than others:

On my system, the applet had consumed 48 Gigabytes of memory before I noticed..... It was started so long ago the date is mentioned by "ps auxww" as "2016".
