"Error activating XKB configuration" after latest update April 1, 2005

Bug Description

After login from GDM:

Error dialog opens:

Error
Error activating XKB configuration.
It can happen under various circumtances:
- a bug in libxklavier library
- a bug in X server (xkbcomp, xmodmap utilites)
- X server with incompatible libxkbfile implementaion

X server version data:
The X.Org Foundation
60802000

If you report this situation as a bug, please include:
- The result of xprop -root | grep XKB
- The result of gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/
keyboard/kbd

Seb, any idea about this one? I'm at a loss to explain, and it's
gnome-keyboard-thingy's keyboard settings that fail, not xorg's.

Hi,

Not to worry. The problem is gone after subsequent updates. I updates very
frequently, almost as soon as it appears.
