Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
when i place something in the trash, either by dragging it or by the delete option, the icon still say that it is empty and when I right click on the trash icon, the empty option is blanked out. but if it tell it to open the trash, then it will open the trash window and in the upper right corner, it asks if i would like to empty the trash. I can delete normally from the window. emptying via the icon does not work all of the time. I have tried restarting the panel and the trash applet

Confirmed, I had the same problem more than one time, but it always ended working again.
