Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-applets
Hi,
I created an entry in fstab but forgot to add the 'user' entry to it; when trying to use the disk mounter app
I get two dialogues:
1) correctly says 'Cannot mount volume' 'you are not priveliged to mount this volume.' This dialogue has no title bar title.
2) A second dialogue with no text except a title bar title of 'Mount Error' (only partially visible but I get that from xwininfo), an OK button and the red error 'no entry' sign - but no other text.
That 2nd dialogue shouldn't exist and the 1st one should probably gain it's title.
For reference my fstab entry is:
/dev/mapper/sda3 /discs/crypt ext3 noauto 0 0
it's actually a device created using dm-crypt but that has already kicked in and the device exists.
(Bonus points for telling me what should be in fstab for disc mounter to do the job of asking for the decryption password)
Dave

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Also the issue that you reported is one that should be reproducable with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Gutsy Gibbon. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the actively developed release. You can find out more about the development release at http:// www.ubuntu. com/testing/ ; Thanks in advance!
