Gnome-app-install crashes on launch

Binary package hint: gnome-app-install

Fresh install of Feisty Herd 2 on Dell 1705 laptop. Launching gnome-app-install crashes prior to showing menu. First attempt had Firefox running in the background, but further attempts were with no other apps running. System rebooted twice, same results.

Second this problem - cannot get gnome-app-install to run at all

Same here with exactly the same crash-report.
I assume it has something to do with us using proxyservers?

This bug is a little different this set of times.
Bug #79154 and this bug both happen as soon as you try to open add/remove apps. I had that bug the first time when I filled this bug #79379 .
The bug I'm getting now happens when you start choosing things to install, certain choices cause the (bug) crash message.
This bug mutation may need to be filed separately to get properly added and addressed.
