Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-app-install
Was using "add/remove..." something (the full title was not displayed in the dialog I was looking at when I was launching, didn't look after that, but it acted like synaptic acts on PCLOS (HTH)).

As someone/something is certain this is a duplicate of bug 339148 which bug is, in turn, composed of this bug and 20+ other bugs, then I'm dropping subscribing here as I don't wish to participate further (I'm very new to Ubuntu, you'll get better efforts elsewhere). I'm not stupid, just VERY cautious about taking a risk of trashing my OS; please understand that I USE the OS for productive work, Linux is NOT a toy to me. I'm still a member here, so if you NEED info, send me a message, I'm willing to try to help, just am too unfamiliar with the details of Synaptic and Ubuntu repositories and updates and forced downgrades and whatnot.
