While browsing in gnome-app-install it crashed with ValueError in _refilter(), synaptic was busy with an install in the background

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-app-install

Could reproduce - allow synaptic to download and install a number of selections. Open Applications -> Add /Remove -> browse around - a short while later the error appears. Selecting close on the error box just closes the dialog screen. Neither gnome-app-install or synaptic seems to be affected.
