no audio after update to karmic koala 9.10

Binary package hint: gnome-alsamixer

Following an upgrade my I have no audio. The internal audio card driver is not loaded by the system
Under version 9.04 it worked perfectly.

Resolved....question of adding the correct model to the end of /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
in my case:
options snd-hda-intel model=auto

also had to re-install the realtime kernel headers.
