gnome-alsamixer crashed with SIGSEGV in gam_mixer_show_props_dialog()

Binary package hint: gnome-alsamixer

My computer is Athlon 64x2 4200+ with MCP55 chipset. The Kernel-2.6.24-12-generic could not be booted up and it should boot with Kernel-2.6.24.12-386. It is no sound with this 386 kernel. However, the Kernel-2.6.22-14-generic can be booted up with perfect sound. I would like my system to be booted up with generic kernel and perfect sound.
