Bug Description

Xgnokii fails to start in Ubuntu 12.04. I don't have a Bluetooth device and I connect my mobile phone through USB.

Here the output from terminal:

~$ xgnokii
Couldn't read /home/amr/.config/gnokii/config config file.
Couldn't read /etc/xdg/xdg-ubuntu/gnokii/config config file.

(xgnokii:9144): Gtk-WARNING **: horizontal scrolling not implemented
Gnokii serial_open: open: Permission denied
Couldn't open FBUS device: Permission denied
Gnokii serial_open: open: Permission denied
Couldn't open FBUS device: Permission denied
Gnokii serial_open: open: Permission denied
Couldn't open FBUS device: Permission denied
Telephone interface init failed: Command failed.
Quitting.
Failed to open the phone. Quitting.

There isn't a path to /etc/xdg/xdg-ubuntu/gnokii/config; xdg-ubuntu doesn't exist. However, there is a path to /etc/xdg/gnokii/config, but copying config to /home/amr/.config/gnokii/ doesn't do anything.

I added my user to 'dialout' group. A window appeared for a while then closed (see screenshot).

Here is the terminal output:
