Bug Description

I don't know if I would call this a bug or not. But the latest version of Gnash is not available in the repos. This is driving some users to turn to proprietary alternatives as the old player 0.8.2 no longer plays youtube videos anymore. please see the post in the ubuntu forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=837448&highlight=install+Gnash if possible please make the latest releases of Gnash available. I just wanted to also add this is a bug that effects not only Ibex but Hardy heron as well. As a Distro that is supported for multiple years it is important that it has the latest packages.

The outdated Gnash 0.8.2 package in Ubuntu intrepid isn't exactly a Gnash bug, but an Ubuntu bug that should be filed against the Gnash package --

The Gnash team are targeting 0.8.4 for intrepid. This is a dupe of bug 240325.
