Bug Description
Binary package hint: gmpc
Ubuntu 9.04
Package version: 0.17.0-2 (gmpc 0.17.0 Revision: 53c38e7)
Using the right mouse button to bring up a context menu doesn't work as expected for most gmpc controls.
Expected behavior: The menu should open upon pressing the mouse button and select an item upon releasing the mouse button on it, i.e., one continuous click. Alternatively, the menu should open on a single right-click (press and immediate release), too, and thus allow for selection with another discrete click. Examples for this correct behavior are menu bars everywhere in GNOME, text controls in gmpc and the big gmpc icon in the top-left corner of the gmpc window.
What happens instead: In gmpc's tree and list controls, pressing and holding the mouse button does nothing. The context menu is displayed only after releasing the mouse button. This is especially irritating in the Playlist Editor as one has to 1) left-click to select a playlist, 2) right-click to open the menu, and finally 3) click another time to select the desired menu item.
I have the same problem in 12.04. I can't find any settings to change this and I keep choosing the first option in the pop up menu, such as Open Tab in Chrome or Back in Nautilus.
