Bug Description

Crashed when trying to run gmorgan. Terminal output:
$ gmorgan
 load Chord Table /home/ubuntu/.ChordTable
 error opening chordtable file ...
you may need to move the chordtable to a different directory
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I also got a dialog box saying:
Can't Find the chordtable file. It should be a hidden file (preceded with a dot) in your home directory.

(I am not sure whether that dialog box is related or not)

Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate a useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

outdated debug symbol package for gmorgan: package version 0.40-1 dbgsym version 0.27-2

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!

Reopening since this consistently crash when attempting to run it on Precise. I also filed bug 973282 about getting a package with debug symbols.

Did you actually install the program as root ?
The Chordtable is copied into /usr/local/share when installed. It also will look in your home directory
for the file so you can edit it to suit your needs. If it can't find it, it can't go any further.

I ran "sudo apt-get install gmorgan" if that's what you mean.

According to "dpkg -L", the only ChordTable is placed in
/usr/share/gmorgan/ChordTable

Copying that to ~/.ChordTable makes the program run, but it seems like it might occasionally trigger a crash in compiz.
