Bug Description

When the session is just started, the snippets are there, but later, I can't access them, because the submenu is unavailable. Other elements stay in their place.

Restarting glipper (killall glipper | glipper) makes the snippets available again.

Can you give a better idea on how to reproduce this?

Snippets doesn't disappear for me (other than the fact that the submenu is not available from the app indicator menu; that's a limitation of app indicator).

I have this issue in ubuntu 11.04 and 11.10.

snippets submenu stops appearing after some little while and restarting glipper brings them back again.

Sorry, I switched to Clipper (GLX-Dock's plugin)... I don't know if the bug is in glipper or in the app indicator. Yes, the snippets are always in glipper but are useless because they aren't available from the app-indicator submenu.

Thank you for your attention!

I ran into this same issue after installing Glipper on Ubuntu 12.04. The snippets submenu would initially show up when Glipper was executed but then dissapear after I clicked on an entry. If Glipper was run via a terminal window, this message would be displayed as the submenu vanished:

LIBDBUSMENU-GLIB-WARNING **: Trying to remove a child that doesn't believe we're it's parent.

I was able to fix the problem with the submenu by editing the "plugins/snippets.py" file and deleting the lines for the "on_history_changed()" function completely. The warning message still prints out on the terminal but the snippets menu no longer vanishes and it functions as expected.

Here's the patch that removes the on_history_changed() function that fixed the issue for me.
