Does glipper use a separate icon for the panel?
If so , kindly mention the icon name used.

If not , it needs to be fixed in the app first.

affects: ubuntu-mono (Ubuntu) → glipper (Ubuntu)

I think it only uses the 3 icons listed in my first post. I don't see nothing more in the list of installed files.

Yeah , it only uses the icon name "glipper"
Ideally it should use a separate icon named "glipper-panel" or "glipper-symbolic" for use in the panel

-symbolic icons are being planned for Maverick and even gnome-shell ..
Needs fixing in glipper first

Interesting icon, but what is it supposed to represent. Just a stylized G?

I guess so, yes. Unfortunatly, I'm no good at inkscape, but maybe it's a start for someone more skilled.

There is a neat monochrome icon available, although it was usually made for parcellite it could also be used for Glipper.

I whipped together an SVG in about 15 minutes. It's not a clipboard but a paperclip (I thought it'd be easier to distinguish at a glance). The color is for the Ubuntu-Mono-Dark theme but simple to change.

Just thought I'd add a preview of a rasterized version of this in use on my Unity menu bar in Natty.

it's the 22x22 icon that needs to be replaced if you want to see the result in unity. i took the liberty to create the needed png file from Ramzeas svg and uploaded it here: http://www.2shared.com/photo/0F39qb6t/glipper.html

Is there any documentation on where to install the icon so that unity/gnome shell will find it and use it?
